This is the second edition of the ACOL text on Mass Spectrometry, and has been thoroughly updated to give a modern approach to those beginning to use or studymass spectrometry. As well as covering the basics of the subject, in chapters on Ion Sources and Methods of Ionisation, Mass Analysis, Ion Detection and Fragmentation Patterns, the author has also included chapters on tandem techniques (Gas and Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry and Mass Spectrometry - Mass Spectrometry) and on Atomic Mass Spectrometry, including Inductively-Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICPMS).
