The book comprises 17 chapters. Almost all the chapters have dealt with various aspects of differential equations considering these as effective tools for modelling of physical and engineering systems. Solutions of some special differential equations, viz. the Bessel, Legendre, Hermite, Leguerre and Tschebyscheff, have also been presented. Numerical methods for solving differential equations have been presented and the solution methods to partial differential equations have been thoroughly covered||About the Author: Aditi Gupta is Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Her research interest includes automatic generation control of power systems, wind power, power system deregulation and congestion management. She has contributed several research papers in national and international journals. Yajvender Pal is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh. His research interest includes distributed generation, control and operation of wind power, power system restructuring, congestion management and power system optimisation. He has authored more than 40 research papers in national and international journals of repute and conferences. He has also carried out two research projects sponsored by Department of Science & Technology. He is a member of IEEE, CSI and IAENG.
