This is a sequel to Mathematics for Engineers Volume 1 by the same authors. Like its predecessor, this book also contains a large number of solved examples for students to internalize the concepts. With this provision it is expected that aspiring engineers will not only be able to master the concepts, but also learn the techniques of solving any kind of mathematical problems. As the book has gradually evolved from the lectures delivered by the authors and their colleagues over the years, authors have been able to use their experiences to design it so that even the mediocre students are able to understand complex concepts, and study with ease and minimum assistance from the teachers. About the Author K A Lakshminarayanan is Professor of Mathematics at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam. Earlier, he retired from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, after teaching there for more than 35 years, and has been the chairman of the board of examiners of Bharathiar University. He has guided projects of students leading to their M Phil degrees, and has co-authored books on engineering mathematics to suit the syllabuses of BE/BTech courses. K Megalai is Assistant Professor at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology. She has two decades of experience in teaching students of engineering and technology. She is MSc and MPhil, and is currently pursuing for her doctorate at Anna University, Chennai. She has also co-authored books on engineering mathematics for BE/BTech and AMIE students. P Geetha and D Jayanthi are Senior Lecturers at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology. They are MPhil in mathematics and have more than a decade of experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. While P Geetha has received a prize for proficiency in mathematics, has authored a book on discrete mathematics, and is currently pursuing for her doctorate, D Jayanthi has delivered lecturers at various forums and has helped in improving the analytical abilities of lateral entry students.
