Men of Men is an adventure novel by Wilbur Smith. It is the second of Smith’s Ballantyne novels. Summary of the Book In a time of empires, blood and conquest are the news of the day. Zouga Ballantyne sets his eyes on a prize: a mine called the Devil’s Own, where men dug out white treasures that were refined into something more precious. He thinks he is prepared for the treachery and deceit that is sure to follow anyone venturing into the business. He is lying to himself. The horrors of reality will scar him for life, showing him the value of love, family and the battle between brethren for a forbidden treasure, one that the craggy caves of Rhodesia are famous for: diamonds.
