Mizoram: Dimensions and Perspectives is a unique book dealing with the post-accord Mizoram. The contents are different from the mainstream writings. Unlike the beaten track approach to relate everything to the disturbances that the state witnessed during its formation as a separate state of the Indian Union, this book probes into other ramifications of the civil society. The contributors to this volume have tried to glean through these in the light of the empirical reality. The volume contains the contributions from the various academics, majority of whom are young Mizo scholars, working in the field. About the Author Prof. Jagadish K. Patnaik is currently the Dean of the School of Social Sciences, Mizoram University (A Central University). He has obtained his Ph.D. from the Queen's University, Kingston, under the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship (1989-1993). A Gold Medallist in M.A., he was also the topper in B.A. (Hons.) with Distinction from Berhampur University, Orissa. Prof. Patnaik has a number of research publications to his credit besides a book titled India and the GATT: Origin, Growth and Development.
