Modern Digital And Analog Communication Systems is an electrical engineering book written by Zhi Ding and Lathi B.P. The book covers modern communication system (theory and application) in a comprehensive manner. The students are systematically first introduced to the basic concepts of signals and communication systems. Then the tools for the design and analysis of communication systems are covered in detail. Modern topics like OFDM, CDMA, DSL Modem technology Services, Wireless LAN systems, and Cellular Systems are also featured in the book. Latest Matlab exercises are provided, and mathematical abstractions are clarified with apt examples. Students who have no prior knowledge of probability theory can also use the book. Many real-life examples are also provided to help students to relate better to the subject. The author attempts to provide intuitive insight into the subject with detailed explanation, thereby making it easy for students to comprehend. Lathi B.P. is a Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at California and also an author of books on electrical engineering. He did his M.S.E.E from the University of Illinois, and got his B.S. degree from the University of Poona. Zhi Ding, the book’s co-author, is a Professor at the Univeristy of California (Davis).
