This book provides fresh insights into the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi, My Experiments with Truth, and identifies the moral lessons it offers not only to the individuals but also for the moral reconstruction of our society. Critically examining Gandhi's perspective on human rights and social work practice, it contains three case studies of Gandhian way of conflict resolution. Gandhian agenda for the twenty-first century and some pertinent issues generally raised by the people have been included in the volume. An effort is also made to evaluate the role of Shanti Sainiks in the global race for armament with special emphasis on Gandhian approach. The book is highly valuable for the students of Gandhian study. About the Author Prof. K.D. Gangrade (b. 1926), Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, New Delhi, has been a former Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Head, Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. He has also taught at the University of Manchester, U.K. and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He has served the United Nations as well in various capacities. Prof. Gangrade has 12 books to his credit. He is recipient of Samaj Gaurav (1988) from the Bhartiya Sangthan, Rashtra Ratna (1998) from Viswa Jagriti Mission, and Radha Raman Award (2000) for outstanding contribution to education.
