"Dr. Samir K Hui, a brilliant bilingual poet, has been rendering striking service for the growth of Indian English poetry for a long haul. Born on 7th May, 1965, Dr Hui has sharpened his poetic skill at tender age. He has carved a niche for himself as a writer of poems and short stories both in English and Odia. MUSINGS ON LIFE is his ninth collection of poetry which reflects on life and it's secrets of living in the sub-continent both past and in current affairs through a philosophical lens. We can sail the struggling and serpentine subway of life following such secrets of living life. Dr Hui muses sporadically with sarcastic humor, at the morality and ethics or lack of it, in politics and humanity in general. These rhythms will evidently enchant a melody in the reader's mind and heart leaving an irrefutable imprint. Dr. Hui's works include around Nine anthologies of poems and short stories both in Odia and English. He has also contributed numerous critical articles to various literary jourls. He has won ample awards from diverse distinguished poetry forums, tiol and intertiol. He is presently working as a Reader in English at Dhamgar college, in Bhadrak district of Odisha, India.
