Caliban, that endlessly resourceful wit of Fleet Street, has been persuaded to collect another hundred of his choicest puzzles for the mystification of a deprived American public (which, up to know, has been forced to seek examples of his work in the London "Daily Telegraph, ""Evening Standard, " and other publications not often seen this side of the Atlantic). There may, perhaps, be some of you who've never heard of Caliban; if that's the case, be informed that he is England's best known problemist, whose thousands of ingenious and varied creations have been entertaining London audiences for more than a quarter of a century.
