My Crow's Metre is a collection of poems written by the poet in his mid-late teens as he tries to make his way into the chaotic education system of his country. He ponders over various philosophical ideas like nihilism, existentialism, modernism, etc., and tries to make sense of them in the context of his day-to-day world. The poems often become highly metaphorical in nature and make use of various allegories and imageries. This book collects 19 such poems divided into two different phases in the life of the poet and are presented in the sequential direction of time. These two phases are broadly defined by the academic/social environment he was in, in those years - first, high school, and second, college. In the second half of the book, the poet also gives an exposition of his life during the recent COVID-19 lockdown. Hence, the poems, if taken together, attempt to tell the story of the poet's life as he prepares for the entrance exam and finally graduates with relishing experiences. It is a story of how a philosophical, egoistic, shy child matures through various experiences and interactions with the friends he made in his life.
