This book (“My First Whim”- Poems by Adeeba Jan) is a guiding inspiration for writing as same is inner heart feelings and messages from a girl scholar who has started writing as passion at an early age. The main purpose to write this book is truly a diverse concept. This book is similar to a garden with number of flowers and readers are the butterflies who will feel the taste at every step. The uniqueness of the book is at the top when we feel the diversity in variety of themes and notions, from the poems circling the thoughts of beauty to the ones which are about wonderful incidents and experiences. The experiences mentioned will help readers develop a different mindset like one among her poems “DARK TRUTHS OF LIFE” mentions: “Never anticipate but always hope, Solace zone was only mom’s womb” Not only that but this book has some common feelings of students which resemble author by age. One of such poems is “FED UP WITH REGIMENTED LIFE”. That is not all but this book mentions author’s land KASHMIR as “BLISS ON THE GLOBE” and her nation as “INCREDIBLE INDIA”. Some social messages give the book a unique touch, like in poems “WOMEN CLOUT” and “THING WHICH ACCOMPANIES YOU”.
