Juanita Grant's devotional and inspirational poems are geared toward preaching His gospel to every nation. Written in an easy to read style, her poems are chock full of inner reflections, spiritual truths and optimism. MY HEART KNOWS is a refreshing addition to the annals of Christian literature. This scripture-based manual of personal growth and maturity reminds us that in this chaotic world, God's constant care is an oasis in a very dry place. This piece of work is life changing. J. Nieca Grant is an Arts lover who writes devotional, inspirational and children's poetry and prose pieces. For pleasure, she enjoys "putting to practice' those writing techniques that she shared with her students during her stint as an Overseas English teacher and as a private and public classroom teacher here in the United States. Ms. Grant grew up in the Eden Park area and was educated at Scott Street Elementary, Greenville Elementary, Capitol Jr., Sr. High School and Southern University, Baton Rouge, La. She did further study beyond her M. Ed at the University of Wyoming, Brigham Young University, Laie, Hawaii and Michigan State University, Lansing, Michigan. She works very closely with her illustrator daughter, Alicia R. Matthews in producing poetry and prose pieces. In her spare time, Ms. Grant follows the literary and music world. She holds a M. Ed plus forty in Education. She lives in Baker, La.
