Glenda Holdridge faced a new season in life after suffering a stroke in February 2021.She had been the leader of an incredible church, Celebrate Recovery, in Pittsburg, Texas. With other church leaders, she had taught members the basics of salvation and shared a Holy Spirit–given love for the one who had brought them out of their lowest pit. She had been told many times, “If this hadn’t worked, I would have left and taken my life.” Then, she had watched those same people raise their hands to worship their holy God every Sunday. How could she give that up?In this memoir, the author looks back at the challenges she has overcome and celebrates how the Lord took the most horrible things in her life and turned them into the fuel to ignite a ministry. Even though she divorced in 1965 (which such a thing was unheard of among churchgoers), had a child out of wedlock, and contended with a child who strayed from the Lord, she surrendered everything she had to God – and that made all the difference.
