The book, My own experience on one day’s mischief in childhood-days of Grandpa’s house, is a short narrative of a winter-holiday’s punishment rooted in a real-life incident which happened in the life of the author. The book narrates the punishments given to young kids for their mischief and naughtiness while they were locked up together in a dark-room as punishment. Through this book, the author shares anecdotes from her youth, when she herself was a young kid. She also talks about moments when they were left in a dark-room as punishment, and the various unexpected things they experienced together. However, at last, they were rescued in some way or the other.
