About Masashi Kishimoto Masashi Kishimoto is a Japanese Manga artist. Other books by this artist include The Art of Naruto: Uzumaki, Karakuri, Naruto: Tales of a Gutsy Ninja, Naruto Jinraiden: The Wolf that Howled at the Sun, and Naruto: Second Official Data Book. Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974. He has a twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto, who is also a Manga artist. Masashi’s first Manga work was Karakuri, which won the Weekly Shonen Jump Hop Step Award in 1996. He then created a one shot work featuring Naruto and also created a serialized version of Karakuri. Naruto became extremely popular and it is still continuing as a Manga comic, with anime and feature film versions. The Naruto series has sold over 126 million books in Japan alone.
