Product Price Comparison
Metal bonded diamond core drills have diamonds sintered and multiple layers of diamonds impregnated inside the metal matrix. Diamonds are fumaces sintered in a matrix made of iron, cobalt, nickel, bronze, copper and tungsten, alloys of these powders or other metals in various combinations. The compacted materials are then. hot pressed to full density adequately required for the matrix composition. This process results to achieve best cutting performance possible on any hard material like marbles, granites, sandstones, tiles, advanced ceramics. The metal bond surrounding the diamonds must wear away to continuously keep exposing the diamonds to continue cutting. Diamond core bit life will very with material hardness, density, drilling depths. Other factors that play a role in life include: drilling speed, feed rate, shape of material, material clamping method and most of all - operator's experience. Single drilling bit can be used for almost all drilling applications ranging from very soft and abrasive materials to ultra hard materials. These bits are found worthy for usage by most: Industrial/manufacturing, R&D, Professional Contractors, Craftsmen. These bits have a better performance rate when compared to electroplated dril bits. Most electroplated bits have a single layer of diamonds coated on the steel body. The diamonds stay only on the surface and as soon as this thin layers is wom out or peeled off, the bit will slow down or drill only on the sides or stop altogether.
