Maintaining a cotton saree is also fairly simple. Most of these can be washed and dried at home using a fabric softener. If it’s a stiffer saree, you need to starch it too. I recommend getting cotton sarees ironed by the dry cleaner for a crisp, sharp look. When tucking them away in the storage, make sure you fold them neatly keeping the crease lines in mind, air the sarees and change the folds every 6 months or so, and wrap them separately in cotton fabric or white butter paper since cottons tend to absorb colors from other fabrics and you don’t want to take any such chances.
