Then plant early in the season covering them lightly with soil. Plant morning glory plants in an area which gets full sun. Morning glories are not good candidates for transplanting. You may get good results, however, by starting your morning glory in a peat pot and planting the entire pot. Resist using too much fertilizer. Fertilize when your morning glory is first planted and then again every month. If you fertilize too often, you will encourage foliage instead of blooms.
