About Eunice de Souza Eunice de Souza is a poet, novelist, and literary critic of the contemporary era. She is the author of the books Dev & Simran: A Novel, Dangerlok, Ways of Belonging, and Fix. Eunice was born and brought up in Pune. She graduated from Marquette University with an M.A. in English Literature, and from the University of Mumbai with a Ph.D. She took up teaching at the St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and retired as the Head of the Department at the university. She has also engaged in theater, and has acted in and directed theater plays. Besides writing, Eunice has also been the editor of many anthologies, in addition to writing a weekly column for Mumbai Mirror.
