NGOs make a significant contribution to the developing countries of Africa. According to the NGOs Sustainability Ranking, the majority of NGOs in Africa faces legal obstacles in specific. In most African countries, especially in Ethiopia, advocacy work is very poor. There is no direct link between NGOs and policymakers. No coalitions based on issues have been developed and broad based advocacy programs have been conducted. NGOs do not engage in the different levels of government decision-making. This book focused on the health services rendered by nongovernmental organizations along with government programmes and with the United Nations which is predominant in the health service sector. The World Health Organization (WHO) has acknowledged NGOs in various ways like increasing recognition by involving in the government programs and in creating an effective people's voice towards their requirements and expectations related to better and qualitative health services. This piece of research work was conducted at Tigray region, Ethiopia. Dr. Karanam Viswa Bhushan, Associate professor of social work who has been working in Maharaja's Post graduate college (awarded 'A' Grade by NACC) since two decades (affiliated to Andhra university) Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. India. He successfully completed the employment contract under Unite Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for two years as Associate Professor in Ethiopian Civil Service University, Ethiopia .During this tenure a lot of research work was done in various social issues. He secured his Bachelor's, Master's (Post Graduation) and Doctoral degrees in social work from Andhra University and awarded first rank with gold medal at post graduation studies. His area of specialization is community development. He secured International certificate in community development and Adult education at Nijmegen University, Netherlands.
