Balaji Tirupati Venkateswara Temple is a Hindu temple situated in the hill town of Tirumala at Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The Temple is dedicated to Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu, who is believed to have appeared here to save mankind from trials and troubles of Kali Yuga. Hence the place has also got the name Kaliyuga Vaikuntha and the Lord here is referred to as Kaliyuga Prathyaksha Daivam. The temple is also known by other names like Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple. Venkateswara is known by many other names: Balaji, Govinda, and Srinivasa. Lord Venkateswara, popularly known as Balaji, is the presiding deity of the Tirumala Venkateswarea Temple in India and is one of the manifestations of Maha Vishnu. Every year devotees donate a great amount of wealth at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, to help Vishnu pay his debt to Kubera, who he took a loan from to pay the bridal price to the father of Padmavati in order to marry her. Lord Vishnu cannot return to Valkunta until his debt is repaid, and therefore resides at the temple. This beautiful 9-cm high, 6.5-cm long, 4.5-cm wide. Lord Balaji brass and metal statue depicts the deity in remarkable detail. It's an exquisite piece for pooja and makes a great gift.
