Living English Practice Book for Class 9 is based on the latest CBSE syllabus (English Language and Literature [Code: 184]) and has been developed in accordance with the guidelines of NCF 2023. It complements the Living English Study Book for Class 9 and can be used together with it or separately. The primary objective of this book is to develop learners’ ability to comprehend, compose, and participate in vocabulary tasks on their own.Section A: Reading Skills includes the Marking Scheme along with Recall Pages for easy recapitulation, Assignments on Case-based Factual Passages and on Discursive Passages.Section B: Writing Skills and Grammar includes Marking Scheme, Recall Pages and Assignments on each writing task prescribed by the Board, as well as each grammar topic. Additionally, it includes Integrated Grammar Exercises.Section C: Language through Literature comprises of Summaries for prose/poetry/drama and Assignments on Extract-based questions, Short answer type questions, and Long answer type questions. Periodic Test Papers and Annual Test Papers have also been provided to familiarise learners with the content, format, and marking scheme of CBSE paper.
