On Her Majesty's Secret Service is the tenth James Bond novel by Ian Fleming and is said to be the second of the Blofeld trilogy. Summary of the Book After the Thunderball, 007 is sent on a mission to find out the whereabouts of Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Blofeld is the head of SPECTRE, the terrorist organization. He has been working at the Alpine base for a while now and is determined to build a biological weapon of mass destruction. James Bond needs to somehow find a way to enter Blofeld’s hideout and stop him from whatever he is doing. Things get easier for him when he gets friendly with the French mafia’s troubled daughter. He is soon on his way to stop Ernst Stavro Blofeld and save the world. About Ian Fleming Ian Fleming is best known for his James Bond series of spy novels. He was an English author, journalist and naval intelligence officer. He is also known for his children's story Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and has written two works of non-fiction. Casino Royale was Ian's first Bond novel and was written in 1952. He later wrote a total of eleven Bond novels and two collections of short stories.
