The story begins on a Monday afternoon when five seemingly disparate students at Bayview High are sent to detention: Bronwyn (the brain), Addy (the beauty/princess), Nate (the criminal), Cooper (the jock), and Simon (the outcast and creator of the school's notorious gossip app, About That). However, only four students walk out alive, as Simon suffers a fatal allergic reaction during detention. Investigators quickly determine that Simon's death was no accident. The plot thickens when it's revealed that Simon had planned to expose juicy, life-altering secrets about each of the other four students on his app the very next day, making them all prime suspects in his murder investigation.
