Chirata is also known as Bitterstick. Many Ayurveda Researchers has given a name Bittor tonic because of it taste which is bitter and has many medicinal values which work on multiple body problem and help in relieving those which make it a healthy bitter tonic. In India, it has been used for malaria, when combined with seeds of divi-divi (Guilandina bonducella).
