This book offers historical notices of different epochs in the history of Sri Lanks. It was written with the idea of reaching out to the youth by presenting afore them with more than a brief account of their country. Starting with a short note on the pre Wijeyan period, it proceeded chronologically to give copious notices of the Mahawansa (Mahavamsa) period, Suluwansa (Culavamsa) period, the Portuguese period, the Dutch period, and finally the British period.
