About Anatol Lieven Anatol Lieven is a British journalist, author and policy analyst. He has a bachelor's degree in History and a doctorate in Political Science. His focuses on War on Terrorism and US Global Strategy as a Senior Researcher at the New America Foundation are highly commended. As a journalist, Anatol has been associated with Financial Times and The Times, covering Pakistan, Russia, the former Soviet Union and Afghanistan. He has also written from India as a freelancer.
