Celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the historic Panchsheel Agreement between India and China, this volume seeks to review aspects of the historical and cultural relations between the two countries, and to build on the legacy of Panchsheel to chart areas of future Sino-Indian cooperation. About the Author C.V. Rangnathan was in the Indian Foreign Service from 1959 to 1993. He served as, among others, Ambassador of India to China from 1987-1991, followed by Ambassador to France, 1991-1993.
