Official Flipkart Review Publishing has come a long way in the country. From only selective authors getting published to everyone being able to write and get published, given the sale value. “Paperback Dreams” is all about aspiring writers, writers who have been around, and writers who are one-book old and struggling with the second book. Having said that, the book is far from a sweet read as you might think of it to be. It begins to get cut-throat and in its own witty manner, speaks of the world throwing some hints here and there. Rohit has a grudge to hold with his publisher. Jeet has to come up with a second book and doesn’t know how. This is after publishing his first, with unfair means. Karun, who is only sixteen and has already written his book, and but of course will go to any length to be popular, for the love of his life. These and the secondary characters make for some fast reading. The book of course seems to have been targeted at aspiring writers and yet it is meant for all. A nice refreshing read on the publishing business of India – not in entirety of course, but a slice of life nonetheless.   Being a writer is not as easy as it seems. In the book Paperback Dreams, a breed of new and young writers are struggling to get published, finish their second book and are facing the brutal truth of the publishing world. Summary of the Book Rohit has published only one book and discovers that his publisher has cheated him with on the royalties. A college Casanova, Jeet wants to earn money and girls to chase after him for he has published his book by unfair means. Meanwhile a sixteen year old wants to publish a novel which he has written for the love of his life. Paperback Dreams is all about the dreams and aspirations of struggling writers who want to make it big. About Rahul Saini Rahul Saini is an Indian author. A former architect, he is interested in photography and travelling. Saini has authored books like Those Small Lil' Things, Just Like in the Movies and The Orange Hangover.
