According to the Vedic scriptures, the Shankha (Shell) is one of the most auspicious objects that emerged from the sea during the Ksheera Sagara samudra manthan. Hence it is regarded as the brother of Goddess Lakshmi, the ruler of wealth.Right Hand Conch Shell is popularly known as "Dakshinavarti Shankh". The conch bent on the right hand, is called Right handed conch. Keeping its head-part towards the worshipper, its open part remains towards the right hand of the worshipper. It has close relationship with the goddess Lakshmi. It is to be noted that it serves its worshipper for progressing financially but it does not fulfill any human passion.Placing this Shell at Puja place or Locker during any auspicious occasion or festival, it brings wealth, good luck and prosperity to the individual and his family. If kept during a religious gathering, it brings knowledge by evoking Goddess Saraswati.
