This book is an abridged version of the work called “ Storia Do Mogor” written by Niccolao Manucci, a Venetian who spent almost 60 years in India. He ran away from his home in Venice in 1653 and died in 1717 in India. He was one with a variety of talents and served the Moguls, the Portuguese and the British at various time during his stay. He was a artilleryman with Dara Shikoh (the eldest son of Shah Jahan) and upon his death he turned his abilities to persue a career in medicine.
