This book describes different researchers' interpretation and use of Western social science within a range of national and cultural contexts that range from Northern rural areas of Pakistan, Egypt and Kenya. There is a great need for discussion on how Western social science applies and should be amended, reshaped or even abandoned in Southern contexts.
