Jerry was happy when Mr. Shreek invited him for piano lessons to his private school. He soon realizes that his teacher has other intentions for children like him. Summary of the Book Jerry moves into his new home and on exploring the place, he finds an old piano. At first, he is fascinated by it, but then he starts to hear someone playing the piano at night. In the meanwhile, his parents pay for piano lessons for Jerry, as they find that he is interested. A few nights later, he discovers that the piano is being played by the ghost of a young girl whose hands are missing. His parents are worried when he complains about it and take him for a visit to the psychiatrist. He has a new piano teacher, Mr. Shreek, who seems like a nice man and keeps telling the boy that he loves his hands. However, he finds out scary stories of kids who went to Mr. Shreek’s piano school and never came out of there. He decides to tell Mr. Shreek that he is leaving the lessons, but he is in for a horrid surprise and he needs to escape the school if he wants to live. About R. L. Stine R. L.
