Muhammad Ali Mazidi’s PIC Microcontroller and Embedded Systems: Using assembly and C for PIC 18 is a comprehensive book for all computer science and engineering students. The book comprises numerous examples and offers a step-by-step approach to both C and Assembly language programming. In addition, there are separate chapters on interfacing with peripherals like timers, LCD’s, serial ports, etc. There is also a separate chapter on the hardware design of the PIC trainer. The online support will also greatly help the students. This book is essential for students from computer science engineering background. About the Authors Muhammad Ali Mazidi holds Master's degrees from both Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Dallas and is presently a.b.d. on his Ph.D. in the Electrical Engineering Department. He is the co-author of a widely used textbook, IBM PC and Compatible Computers. He also teaches microprocessor-based system design at the DeVry University in Texas. Ronlin McKinlay is presently working on his Master’s degree and PE license in Texas. He is self-employed programmer and circuit board designer, and he is also a partner in MicroDigitalEd.com. Danny Causey is a graduate from the CET department from the De Vry University. His areas of interest include networking, microcontroller, and embedded system design.
