About the Author Dr. Pravin Chandra Trivedi Associate Professor Department of Botany University of Rajasthan Jaipur India obtained his B.Sc. (1972) M.Sc. (1974) and Ph.D. (1978) degrees from the University of Rajasthan Jaipur. He has a brilliant academic record getting First in all the public examinations. He was appointed as Assistant Professor in Botany in 1974 and Associate Professor in 1987. Dr. Trivedi worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow (1983-84) at the Department of Plant Pathology North Carolina State University Raleigh USA with renowned nematologist Professor K.R. Barker. It was funded by Ministry of Education Government of India. Dr. Trivedi visited several major research laboratories engaged in nematode research and presented research papers in many international conferences in 14 countries viz. USA Canada UK Germany The Netherlands Japan Italy Denmark Switzerland Luxembourg Malaysia Singapore Austria and Belgium. Dr. Trivedi has published more than hundred research papers and review articles in journals of national and international repute. He is an author of one textbook and edited five books. He is a life member of more than one dozen learned bodies in India and abroad and is a Fellow of several of them including The Indian Botanical Society Indian Phytopathological Society The Nematological Society of India etc.
