Political Theory is an interdisciplinary endeavor whose center of gravity lies at the humanities end of the happily still undisciplined discipline of political science and is the catergorization of social thought by a group or by the persuasion or beliefs of a geo-political mass. Most of political theory has a irreducibly normative componentregardless of whether the theory is systematic or diagnostic in its approach, textual or cultural in its focus, analytic, critical, genealogical, or deconstructive in its method, ideal or deconstructive in its method, ideal or piecemeal in its procedures, socialist, liberal, or conservative in its politics. Political theorists engage with empirical work in politics, economics, sociology, and law to inform their reflections, and there have been plenty of productive associations between those who call themselves political theorists. About the Author P. Kumar is a graduate and Post-graduate in Political Science and also holds Ph.d degree and presently having teaching position in same discipline sine 1980 and had supervised several candidates under his supervision.
