Pride and Prejudice is a delightful social satire of 18th century England. The book revolves around the heart-warming story of the love between Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet. This is an abridged version of the original novel penned down by Jane Austen. This book is an ideal read for children. Summary of the Book Elizabeth Bennet is the second of five daughters of an English country gentleman. Unaccustomed to social situations, Elizabeth has to attend a ball where she meets Fitzwilliam Darcy, a man who acts haughty and arrogant towards her and towards the ball in general.
