Unavailability of ophthalmology books dealing primarily with the ins and outs of clinical aspects of refraction has whetted the author's appetite to take such a noble venture of writing in this subspeciality. Opticians find this book quite handy as some practical hints gained after 40 years of experience are provided by the author to cater to their needs in dispensing contact lenses and glasses. Finally appendices in the end will be quite helping for day-to-day practice.
