Prisoners of the Sun is the 14th graphic novel by Hergé starring the Belgian journalist Tintin. Summary of the Book Tintin and his friend, Captain Haddock, are still searching for Professor Calculus, who has been kidnapped. Their journey takes them through Andean villages, mountains, and rainforests, leading them straight to a hidden civilization in the Temple of the Sun. Once in the hands of their captors, Tintin and Haddock are doomed to join the Professor on a pyre, as a sacrifice. How will Tintin and his friends escape this terrible situation? About Hergé Georges Prosper Remi, otherwise known by his pseudonym Hergé, was a Belgian cartoonist. He is best known as the creator of Tintin, penning 23 books in the series.
