He then worked for Convex Computer for five years. He founded the Tom Christiansen Perl Consultancy, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, in 1993. He currently resides in Boulder, Colorado. Brian D Foy is an author and trainer. Foy has also written Mastering Perl and Effective Perl Programming. Foy manages The Perl Review, helping individuals gain insights into Perl through code review and consulting. He is responsible for maintaining the perlfaq sections of the core Perl records, certain standalone scripts, and some units on CPAN. He previously worked at Stonehenge Consulting Services as an author and instructor. Larry Wall is an author and computer programmer. Wall was born in 1954. Wall is the creator of Perl, which he developed during his time at Unisys. He is currently involved full-time in developing this language. He studied at Seattle Pacific University, and later graduated from the University of California. Jon Orwant is an author and lecturer. Orwant completed his doctorate from the Electronic Publishing Group at MIT, and he is the founder of The Perl Journal. He currently works as the Engineering Manager at Google.
