Smith is the Professor of Psychology at the University of Washington, where he has previously worked as the Director of Clinical Psychology Training. He was also the Head of the Social Psychology and Personality field there. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at the Marquette University, and obtained his PhD from the Southern Illinois University. Dr. Smith has been associated as a professor at the esteemed Purdue University and at Washington. He also has frequent visiting appointments at the Marquette University, the University of Hawaii, the UCLA and the University of New Mexico. Dr. Smith’s chief research interests lies in personality, stress and coping, performance enhancement research and intervention. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and a Past President of the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology. Ronald E.
