This directory provides information on the addresses of publishers, publishing institutions and publishing organizations worldwide. The 1991-1992 edition has been revised and expanded. It provides access to over 230,000 publishers in 190 countries and includes over 100,000 publishers with ISBN prefixes. The directory covers all countries whether or not an ISBN has been established there. It also includes new publishing forms such as video, software and microfiche. In addition, entries provide publisher subsidiary, distributor and specialization information. The first volume is arranged in geographical sections, with all publishers are listed according to country. Volume two contains the numerical ISBN section which lists all publishers according to their ISBN publisher prefixes and the final volume contains an alphabetical listing of all publishers.
