A fiction story based on true incidents. It is autumn of 1918. Even in these tumultuous times of colonial rule and the culmination of a long fought World War, a group of people come together for their passion of pursuing knowledge. The story is based in western India giving an immersive experience through the deserts of Rajasthan, the culture and the people in Jaisalmer back in early 20th century. Join Luigi, a 19 year old archaeologist from Italy, Vikram, a middle-aged history scholar from central India, with his 7 year old daughter Namrata and a local tourist guide in Jaisalmer, Swaroop, in their journey. They form a team and venture out in the arid and dry Thar deserts in pursuit of uncovering aspects of humankind that were lost with time. Their story takes the reader into a fascinating journey, peeling through various aspects of the culture and lifestyle of the people they encounter layer by layer. What will their journey lead to? Will they discover a lost civilisation? Could climate change have erased the existence of a whole civilization thousands of years ago, not just from this geography but also from our memories?
