The book will be useful both for developing knowledge and skills of students and effective application of technology in the field by engineers for quality control. About the Author P. S. Gahlot is currently Director General Yagyavalkya Institute of Technology Sitapura Jaipur. He obtained ME in civil engineering from IIT Roorkee and Grad. Cert. Ed. from Leeds University UK. He worked in technical education as faculty in Rajasthan as Professor in Civil Engineering National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research Chandigarh and as faculty consultant at Colombo Plan Staff College Manila Philippines. He has coauthored books Construction Planning and Management Applied Mechanics Civil Engineering Materials and Building Repair and Maintenance Management besides many other manuals and learning modules in concrete technology and construction management. Deep Gehlot graduated from Punjab University Chandigarh and obtained BE (Civi:) from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala. He has supervised a large number of cement concrete construction projects ranging from Punjab Police housing complexes airport building cinema buildings large span PSC bridges (RUIDP) 2 x 250 MW thermal power station 5 star hotel and chain of Taj Group of Hotels. He has worked in various capacities to execute cement concrete constructions as site engineer to senior project engineer in TCE Consulting Engineering Ltd FEBC MS Constructions and NBCC.
