About the book: the story revolves around the memoirs of an extraordinarily intelligent but essentially a narcissistic woman, dr. Rani singh turned so because of her unique childhood experiences. She identifies the four phases in her tumultuous life alike the four queens of a deck of cards. The story also highlights her mood swings and hormonal levels which are totally dependent on the external events; how much attention or adulation she gets from her peers. Her oversensitive temperament makes her vulnerable to break easily at criticisms by her peers at which she overreacts. Dr. Rani singh has been a queen throughout her life, first she is a queen of hearts, then she turns into a queen of clubs and further into a queen of diamonds. Towards the end of the story she declares to the world that she has only a few years to live and when she dies she should be buried in her hometown; spades will pour soil over her and she will become a queen of spades. But her admirers say that she will always be a queen of hearts in their memory. About the author: dr. Archana tiwari is a lively, cheerful and an imaginative person who is a celebrated obstetrician and gynaecologist, a premarital medical counsellor and ultrasonologist running her own private nursing home at gwalior. Among her myriad talents - she is an acclaimed debater, public speaker, writer with many awards and prizes to her credit. She has contributed many chapters in many medical books, journals, newspapers, websites and given various talks on radio and tv.
