A few of his other works are Devasthan Rahasya, Roothi Rani, Vardaan, Premashram, Pratigya, Karmabhoomi, and Duniya ka Sabse Anmol Ratan. Premchand was born in 1880. His original name was Dhanpat Rai Srivastav. He generally wrote in both, Urdu and Hindi. He initially used the pen name, Nawab Rai, but later changed it to Premchand. He also translated some of the best literature from other languages into Hindi, including stories by Leo Tolstoy. He is considered as one of the greatest writers in Hindustani literature.
