About Amit Chaudhuri Amit Chaudhuri is an internationally acclaimed Indian Author and Academician. His novels include A Strange And Sublime Address, Freedom Song, Afternoon Raag, The Immortals, and A New World. In addition to these, he has written a number of short stories, pieces of non-fiction, anthologies, and poetry. Chaudhuri has a unique writing style, which can be best termed as fluid and lyrical. He is married to the granddaughter of the noted physicist Satish Ranjan Khastgir. Chaudhuri is presently working as a professor at the University of East Anglia, teaching Contemporary Literature. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award for his book, A New World, Encore Award for the book Afternoon Raag, Infosys Award and a few other awards.
