Red Jihad: The Battle For South Asia is a political and military thriller by Sami Ahmad Khan. Summary of the Book In the near future, Pakistan has turned into a complete democracy and seeks to reconcile its stance with India. However, not everyone wants peace. A jihadi leader called Yasser Basheer travels to the Red Corridor and allies himself with an Indian Naxalite commander, Agyaat. They aim to unleash India’s experimental intercontinental ballistic missile on the subcontinent. The missile changes its path and arcs towards Pakistan. In a military response, Pakistan declares war on India. The ensuing battle threatens the peace of the entire subcontinent and begins to draw several other countries into the fray. About Sami Ahmad Khan Sami Ahmad Khan is an Indian writer. A graduate of Hindu College and Rajdhani College, University of Delhi, he completed his Master’s in English Literature at Jawaharlal Nehru University and is currently pursuing his PhD at JNU, studying Science Fiction and Techno-culture Studies. He is presently a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Iowa, USA.
