The Photocatalytic Oxidation process combines UVC light with a substance (catalyst) titanium dioxide (TiO2) which results in a reaction that converts the harmful organic contaminants into carbon dioxide and water thereby completely purifying the air. Launched in July 2023, the second generation QX50 Plus is equipped with an improved air quality sensor, and negative ions technology is replaced with the latest plasma ions technology for better air purification results.
