The need for a bibliography of library science research done in India has become imperative both from the point of view of bibliographical control and avoidance of duplication of efforts. In this bibliography, about 1800 entries have been arranged under four sections, spread over nine parts. These cover MLIS, M. Phil and Ph. D dissertations submitted to various Indian universities. In the subject part, entries have been arranged alphabetically by title, giving further information about the author, institution, year and the name of the supervisor. This part is supported by separate indexes for all the details given above. A librametric study of the dissertations has been given in the introduction to the subject, area of study and year-wise break-up. It is an important and valuable work which should prove extremely useful to library personnel in general and to library science faculty, researchers and students of library science in particular.
